Art Deco refers to an art movement involving a mix of modern decorative styles from the 1920's and 1930's. The style began with the 1925 Paris Exposition, but wasn't actually labeled Art Deco until the 1960’s. It's straight and clean-edged shapes embodied the modern machine age. Our Art Deco shades are the earliest style of fabric shade in the Art Deco era of the 1920's.
