ART DECO GLOBES

Art Deco Figural Radio Lamp at The Antique Lamp Co.

Art Deco refers to an art movement involving a mix of modern decorative styles from the 1920's and 1930's. The style began with the 1925 Paris Exposition, but wasn't actually labeled Art Deco until the 1960’s. It was an era in which a floor radio could be found in most American homes. Figural lamps sat atop these, blending radios into the home's dιcor. Elegant women in provocative poses are the most popular and highly sought after lamps; but couples, birds, exotic animals and dogs were also popular.

All of our globes are hand-blown and have a 31/4" fitter which is standard for such lamps.
