The advent of electricity in the early 20th century brought a new art form:
table lamps with large glass shades. New glass designs, textures, and
pictures could be
most appreciated when illuminated with electric light. To hold these large heavy glass shades in
place, cap sets were needed.
Our sets include an aperture ring which sits
on the threaded rod at the top of the socket cluster. The shade sits centered
with the heat cap on top with the finial locking it in place.
Set contains heat cap, aperture,
finial and steel rod
