Lily Shades and Holders

Lily shades were introduced on figural and Art Nouveau lamps, most notably those made by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The term Art Nouveau is French for "The New Art." It is an art movement from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, characterized by feminine softness and curving shapes. Lamps which use lily shades made a big comeback in the 1990's and have remained popular ever since.

We sometimes adapt these lily shades onto lamps which were "born" bare-bulbed. These shades add a nice touch for hiding the socket and bulb. Ask us how to dressing up your lamp with these lovely lily shades.
