These brackets were designed to hold oil lamps which were "born" to burn liquid fuels such as whale oil or kerosene. The oil lamps could be carried from room to room and placed in the brackets to place the light high and illuminate the room.

All of our brackets come complete with the holder and can swivel  from side to side.
