HELP-LINE
Installing our In-line Switches

1. UNPLUG the lamp - an obvious, but important step!
2. Use a knife to make a 1" slit at the desired switch location and in the middle, cut one of the wires in half.

3. Strip about 1/4" of insulation off each end of the CUT wires.
4. Twist the frayed raw copper ends together.
5. Loosen, but don't remove the smaller screws on the center block.
6. Place the UNCUT wire into one of the channels on either side of the center block.
7. Insert each end of the CUT wires into the holes on each side of the center block (located under the small screws).

8. Tighten down the small screws to hold the wire ends down tightly.
9. Place the 2 white plastic retaining clamps on either side of the wire and screw down to hold wire in place.
10. Snap the 2 pieces of the switch together.

Note: The small brass union with smaller screws is optional, and only needed if the UNCUT wire somehow becomes cut. It fits into slot in channel on sides of switch.
