Torchiere Lamps

Torchieres are usually floor lamps which have a central light and a glass shade which pushes the light upwards. Light is then reflected off of the ceiling to illuminate a room.

These take large "Mogul" bulbs which are very high wattage and therefore, torchieres are a powerful light source without being harsh.
